Deuteronomy 6:5-9

"You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand and they shall be as frontals on your forehead. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Coupons...

Last night my family and I went to BJ's warehouse store. We got one of those free membership things in the mail. I knew that BJ's accepted coupons, but I didn't know all the 'rules'.

When we got there, they completely made it difficult to resist buying the membership. For joining they give you a $10 coupon, 2 months free, and a bunch of extra coupons. After shopping and using that $10 coupon, I could then decide and if I didn't want the membership I could get a full refund. (what's there to lose?)

So their rules to coupons... They accept all manufacturers coupon, as a matter of fact they will take up to 3 manufacturer coupons for one item. (since things there are sold in bulk) BJ's also puts out there own coupons. You can only use one of their coupons, since they're designed for their store. However, you can use 1 BJ's coupon and 3 manufacturers coupons together! Wow!!! Now that's savings.

Don't forget, you still need to know your prices vs. quantity. Happy shopping!

Homeschool Video

This is a must see video! I want to watch the whole sermon. My hubby emailed it to me.

Here's the link if you're interested in buying the DVD set. Martie said this guy is a solid Christian, he's pretty sure his theology is right on.

Like mother, like daughter...

So Taylor and I did our Saturday cleaning. I like to clean really good Saturday, so I don't have to do anything Sunday. Oops it's 12:58 am. right now, so I guess it's Sunday, so I went a little over. Anyway, I wanted to clean a few extras tonight. So Taylor and I were cleaning the bathroom. I was scrubbing the bathtub, and she had the toothbrush cleaning. (you know all those little corners and under the soap dish, YUCK) I think Taylor really enjoyed the Clorox Cleanup.

Once she finished that, she walked by the kitchen sink and said, "mom I think the kitchen sink needs to be bleached". I told her I already sprayed it down, it just needed to be wiped. She immediately volunteered. Then she came back into the bathroom, "I'll bleach these sinks now". I had to slow her down. It's o.k. Taylor I already cleaned them with pine sol. She was pretty persistent that we bleach them, but I insisted they were clean enough.

Have I ruined her? She loves a clean house as much as I do.

I love this girl!!!

On the way back up... I think

So, I took Ethan to the doctor today. He just wasn't getting any better. They gave him antibiotics and said he has bronchitis. He could hear some rattling/fluid in his chest. Poor boy, he sounds terrible.

Martie is still having a little dizziness. I think it's from his crazy schedule. (full time pastor, part time UPS, full time seminary, family w/ 4 children) What do you think? I thank God for him and for his willingness to suffer and work hard to support us. God is faithful and will get us or him through this. On the flip side, he LOVES school. Except all the assignments. He was up all night last night working on 2 papers and then went to school all day today.

Tabitha I think is better. It's hard to tell w/her. She's eating a little better. Me, Taylor, and Andrew are all great. So I guess we're on the road to recovery.
So here are some of the most recent pictures:

Yes he is fast asleep!! (standing up)

Awwww! I love how he loves her.

This is our funny dog eating bubbles.

The boys right before they went to bed.

Can you believe she is 3 months old now?

Poor Ethan felt so sick.

I LOVE his smile!

Quick update...

I feel like I've been leaving such negative posts lately. (sorry) Well, Ethan is still sick, really sick. Tabitha I think is still sick. She's not eating real good, and she's sleeping more than normal. Taylor has a slight cough, Martie hasn't had a dizzy spell today (that I know of), and I'm hanging in there. Why don't moms get sick. (not that I want to) One last negative thought.... I made dinner tonight... and it was YUCKY! Don't you hate when you try something new and it's no good. I really aim to please in the cooking area, hmmm, well not tonight.

So, now for some great news. God is doing some great things in our lives and the life of our church. We've had a new family join us. (Homeschool family w/ 3 children) We have also had a college girl join us who loves the Lord and is passionate about missions. Get this.... the family and the college girl are both very talented musically and have so many other talents and gifts. Praise to God!!! My women's fellowship is ALIVE!!! There are so many neat women coming. I was studying last night for this Friday and I just could not get enough. I was up until about 2 a.m. just reading. Isn't God amazing!

Homeschooling is going great. Schedules are working. The children are learning so much. We have read some really great books in the last couple of weeks. I read a book myself on Gladys Alward the missionary in one day. Too good to put down.

So I hope this post was a bit more encouraging. Thanks for reading!

Continuation from last post...

NOW TABITHA IS SICK! AGGGGHHHHH!!!

Andrew is still going strong, except the whole stomach issues we've been having with him for almost a year. So the Mangum household needs prayer today.

The great thing about homeschool is we can still do school. Sick or not. Not such great news for our kids. They're just doing some reading and general memory work. I know, bad momma!

My hubby's confession

So Martie has confessed to me this morning....

His spiritual gift is NOT administration! (no big surprise to me)

So a few weeks ago I gave him his new registration sticker for his car. Guess what, it's gone. He thought he remembered sliding it into one of his school books. None the less it's gone. Anyone know what to do about that. How do you convince the county that you lost your sticker and you're not just putting it on another car.

Hmmmm.............

On another note, Martie, Ethan, and Taylor are all sick today. What a start to a week. I think I'll take some extra time reading my bible and praying this morning. :-)

20 mins. to blog

So while I was feeding Tabitha this morning, I took advantage of reading my favorite blogs. Sitting beside me was my precious Andrew. In those very short minutes Andrew managed to "dump" out anything he could find.

What is this with him? Is it a boy thing? He loves to just "dump out" stuff. In our closet he took all my shoes off of the shoe rack. He opened the wipes and took two out. (I got the rest away from him) He wiped himself off, and then put one wipe in each of daddy's shoes. Then he went in his room. I thought to play so nicely. After nursing I went to check on him and he had dumped out his basket of shoes and their basket of hats. AAAGGGGHHHH!!! He dumped out the basket of toys before bed.

I like baskets because everything has a place, however when everything is dumped out at the same time, it makes for a BIGGER mess! I love this boy.

Last question..... when he gets the stuff all out of the baskets..... why doesn't he play with it? Is all the fun in just turning the baskets over and watching the stuff fall out? Hmmmm.... maybe I could incorporate this into his school. Get some cans and put stuff in them, and have him dump it out and then put it back. Just a thought. I'm always looking for things to keep him busy while I'm helping the other children.

He's my favorite Andrew in the WHOLE world!
